Grange Is Resolute On
No Budget - No Pay Initiative

Following more than 100 days of squabbling, California legislators finally adopted a budget package to close a $42 billion deficit.  The California State Grange is more resolute than ever to put a “NoBudget-NoPay” initiative before the voters that would require legislators to approve a state budget on time, or suffer consequences.

“The behavior of our elected public officials and their blatant disregard for the people of California is simply unconscionable,” stated California Grange President Randall Lewis.
“Our Legislators need to pay attention to the main reasons they have been elected to office.  First are the fiscal matters of the state, followed by the health and safety of all Californian’s and then the education of our youth.”

Grangestock Festival Will Spoof
Woodstock and Hippie Era

Grangestock will be presented July 11, an outdoor festival of fun, food & music at the Orangevale Grange's beautiful natural amphitheatre.

Grangestock will begin at 11:00am and feature more than a dozen “far out” bands and entertainers from across the state, providing music and laughs for a day-long spoof of Woodstock and an era that brought us hippies, hot pants & Hubert Humphrey.

2009 Grange Expo Book Available

Entries will close September 15 for the 2009 Grange Expo to be held at the Orangevale Grange, October 15 - 18. Now's the time to start on those projects!
